By Ogoni Media

Ahead of the 2015 general elections, Ogoni youth leader and Nigeria's peace ambassador, Chief Solomon Ndigbara has hinted that the outcome of the 2015 Rivers State governorship election will be determined by the character and credibility of candidates and not ethnic sentiments as widely reported in the media.

Chief Solomon Ndigbara made this known yesterday while addressing a teaming crown of Ogoni youths in Bua-Yeghe, his home town in Ogoniland. Ndigbara urged the youths not to be persuaded by gifts and promises for money and jobs but to focus on the history, character and credibility of candidates noting that it is only such people that can guarantee a promising future for Ogoni and Nigerian youths at large.

The Ogoni youth leader also used the occasion to declare his support for President Goodluck Jonathan in the 2015 polls explaining that in his personal assessment of the present political situation in Nigeria, only President Jonathan leads a truly national party with capacity to unite and drive the country towards its place of promise.

Ndigbara urged Ogoni youths to reject violence and embrace peaceful approaches assuring them that those who sow violence and think that violence can help them win elections will also reap violence.

Ndigbara was accompanied by the President of the Ogoni Youth Congress, Comrade Sunny Bekanwa and Mr Bob, another Ogoni youth leader from Tai Local Government Area spoke at the event.
