President Goodluck Jonathan, Vice President Namadi Sambo and National

Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Adamu Mu'azu, popped

non alcoholic champagnes to celebrate the land slide victory of Governor

elect Ayo Fayose of the PDP over the Dr. Kayode Fayemi of the All

Progressive Congress APC.
The trio and other members of the PDP Government met Sunday to review the

victory and decided to celebrate the land slide victory which analyst

believed marked the beginning of the end of APC dominance in the South

West.
Sources told pointblanknews.com that the hierarchy of the PDP, beside the

celebration, discussed strategy to adopt in winning the next Governorship

elections in Osun State relying on the Ekiti victory and the current

cracks within the APC.
Pointblanknews.com gathered that leaders of the PDP are bent on ensuring

that hitherto controlled PDP states in the South West are won back in

subsequent elections.
The strategy, according to a source familiar with ongoing meetings,

includes harmonizing factions in Ogun, Osun and Oyo State which were PDP

states and ensuring that only credible and accepted candidates are fielded

for election.
“We are using the Ekiti as an example. We fielded Fayose, a man loved by

his people from the top to bottom and it paid off. That is the way we will

henceforth go. We will capitalize on Ekiti victory and fix our party in

other opposition states where we have potentials to win,” a source who

would not want to be named told Pointblanknews.com.
