Nigeria's Super Eagles will open their 2014 Fifa World Cup campaign on Monday against Iran's team Melli.

This will be the second meeting between these nations and the stakes couldn't be higher.

On Sunday, head coach of the Nigeria national team Stephen Keshi addressed several issues about Monday's game during the Glo Hangout on Google+.

Keshi spoke about his respect for Team Melli predicting that Monday's game at Arena da Baixada, Curitiba would be a testing encounter.

'I am expecting a very tough game because Iran and Japan were among the first countries that qualified for the 2014 Fifa World Cup finals in Brazil.

'I know their coach (Carlos Quieroz) a little bit; he's a seasoned coach. I know that he will impart the knowledge that he's gotten from clubs like Manchester United and other top clubs that he's worked with previously into his players.

'The (Iranian) players will also be looking to achieve what they've never done before so it's going to be a tough game but we are also getting ourselves ready,' he said.

The game between Nigeria and Iran kicks off at Arena da Baixada, Curitiba at 21:00 CAT and is live on SS3Ni.
