Two young ladies Ejura Opaluwa, 23, and Unekwu Opaluwa, 19  were abducted from their home in Abuja on Sunday.

According to their uncle, Mr Amade Opaluwa, the ladies were abducted by gunmen, who stormed their house at 55 Associated Estate, Impresit Karmo, in a blue Honda car with Registration Number: HR152ABC.

'There were five of them. They went straight to the room of my brother, Dr Samson Opaluwa, who is a director at the Federal Ministry of Works,' Amade said.

'They told him that they had come to kill him, and asked how much he was willing to pay for them to spare his life. 'My brother begged for his life, but the heavily-armed men, who were not satisfied with the money they got, then went for his daughters who were in the living room. They put the girls in the boot of the car and left.'

Amade revealed that the gunmen are demanding a ransom of N200 million for the release of the ladies. The family has since reported the incident to the police station at Life Camp, Abuja.

However, the public relations officer of the police in FCT, DSP Altine Daniel, told TheCable that she was unaware of the incident.
