Leading up to the kick off of the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa on 11th June, the International Coordinating Committee (ICC) has embarked on a world-wide road show. The road show will begin in Africa, followed by Europe and the Americas.

The delegation will be in Nigeria between the 15th and 16th March 2010. The road show's aim is to drive collective celebration of the continent's first World Cup, simultaneously sharing host city information with corresponding football associations, media houses and all stakeholders in Nigeria.

The tour's vision mirrors that of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, i.e. The 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa will seek to strengthen both the South African and African image, promote new partnerships with the world as we stage a unique and memorable event. Our vision will inspire us and drive our collective determination to be significant global players in all fields of human endeavours.

We, therefore, aim to:
• Connect African people
• Connect African countries
• Promote development of African football
• Promote African culture, diversity, heritage and pride

The High Commission, on behalf of the ICC, hereby requests that all media houses be represented at the Press briefing and to take part in other activities lined up for this road show. This is just a sensitization e-mail. The date, time and venue will be communicated to you shortly.
