99 ships expected at Lagos ports from June 5 to June 29 – NPA

Not less than  99 ships, carrying various products, would sail into Lagos ports from June 5 to June 29, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said on Wednesday.

NPA in its  daily publication, “Shipping Position”, released to newsmen in Lagos on Wednesday said that the  ships would be carrying petroleum products, bulk fertiliser, new and used vehicles, rice and frozen fish.
It said some of the ships would also carry steel products, bulk salt, general cargo, bulk gypsum, bulk wheat, containerised goods and crude palm-oil.
The publication said that four ships, namely MV. Orient Tiger, MV. Apollon, MV. Sentosa and MV. Tai Hawk, were waiting to berth at Josep Dam Terminals and ENL Consortium in Apapa.
It said that 13 fuel laden ships were also waiting to berth and discharge kerosene, petrol and bulk gas.
The document also said that the ships would berth at Single Buoy Mooring (SBM), New Oil Jetty (NOJ), Atlas Cove Jetty (ACJ) and Bulk Oil Plant (BOP).
