http://www.nigerianbestforum.com/blog/?attachment_id=122202 The Togolese Football Association (FTF) is fighting against time to get its star player and captain, Emmanuel Shéyi Adébayor, to rescind his decision not to participate in the finals of the 2013 African Cup of Nations (AFCON). Sources in Lome told PANA on Monday that Adébayor is refusing to play in the AFCON being hosted by South Africa because of the “bad atmosphere in the team'' and the “poor organisation'' by the FTF, which has been divided by internal squabbles. This is not the first time Adébayor has turned his back on the national squad, citing bad practices within the FTF. Togo is in Group D with Côte d'Ivoire, Tunisia and Algeria.
