ODIBEZE GOES HOME

The patriarch of Rev. Stephen Nwabueze Ezuma's family, Late Mrs Margret Orieukwu Nwabueze Ezuma, was on the 12th of Dec. 2014 laid to rest at Arondizuogu, Imo State of Nigeria. The late 86 year old amazon popularly known as ODIBEZE was a unique and rare gem of our time.

She is survived by 8 children, 45 grandchildren and numerous adopted children. According to one of her sons, Dr. Innocent Ozoemena Ezuma, Executive Chairman of Ita – Zuma Group W.A. Ltd, “…Mama thought and demonstrated love, integrity, hard work, unity and Godliness to us and everyone within her outreach…”

Like the Biblical Dorcas, the generosity exhibited by Late Odibeze is simply incomparable. She was a friend to the homeless, orphans, widows and every category of the indigent.

The burial ceremony attracted thousands of guests from within and outside the country. The President of Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Goodluck Jonathan was represented by His Excellency, Amb. Godknows Igali. Alhaji Aliko Dangote was represented by Engr. Joseph Makoju, a Director in Dangote Group. Prof. Jerry Gana and his wife who are family friends to The Ezumas were among numerous distinguished guests that came to bid Odibeze good bye.

A strong delegation from Ukrain where Dr. Innocent Nwabueze Ezuma has some of his industries, businesses and even married from were part of the ceremony.

The league of Nigerian Monarchs that attended the funeral service was led by HRM Idakwo Aemeoboni II, the Attah of Igala Kingdom while the ArchBishop of Ideato diocess, Rt. Rev. Caleb Maduoma led clergy men that officiated the ceremony.
