STANDING ABOVE WHAT PEOPLE THINK OF YOU

Where you are today is a product of the decision you took yesterday and where you will be is determined by what you choose to do today. Greatness is a term specifically reserved for people who choose to make ad difference within and without obtainable societal status quo. The concept carries the implication that the particular person or object, when compared to others of a similar type has clear superior advantage.

To every sojourn, there is a guide to his desired destination, attitudes that are consistent to the person he wish to become. Every man is destined for exploit some just wish to sleep over this knowledge. Let me thrill your perception a bit. You are responsible for success and failure, attributing it to people only proves how weak you are. Wilma Rudolph will put it this way “Never underestimate the power of dreams and the influence of the human spirit. We all the same in this nation: potential for greatness lives within each of us”. The moment you realize that you are not just a piece of flesh to be tossed here and there but an embodiment with the necessary to make exploits ever revealed to the knowledge of man; that day you begin to live.

Have you ever felt less important? Have you ever felt so little amidst your contemporaries? Well, this is not an old feeling because many line you have passed through same. Inferiority complex is that state where an individual doubt his worth, ability and potentials to do exploits. It’s a two way dimensional means of belittling oneself. First an individual is viewed as not capable and secondly he/she succumbs to the idea. You as an individual is worthy of creativity only if you broader your mind. The way you see yourself goes a long way in determining your success or failure in life. It is very important for you to know that there is no better encouragement you can get than the one you give to yourself and there is no better catalyst to spur you to greatness than the dejection you get from the people around you. Combine these two forces and unfathomable greatness is your starting point. This article is piece carried from personal experiences and indeed those that live longer will affirm to this proposition that experience is the best teacher, but I stand to put it more vividly that evaluated experience can pave a way out of repetitive dilemma.

Who do they say you are? What matters is “Who do you say you are” There is a person the world is waiting to see and that person will never if you keep listening to what people are saying about you. Now you have to get this right, the world is waiting, they will clap their hands and make criticism at the same time either you fail or excel in your endeavors. Many people have given up on the pursuit of greatness simply because of more “suggestions” made by people about them. This may sound radical but true to its core, if your aim is the championship then demeaning suggestions are inevitable. In fact, I am stating this so vehemently, if you are pursuing any course and there’s no challenge especially coming from the people close to your heart then know that you are pursuing the wrong course. Pick another pursuit that will give people a reason to “talk” and then you are now on course.

However, be prudent enough to make use of constructive criticism, rationally substantiating between constructive criticism and verbal demeaning insinuations. Now believe me there’s always this voice inertly saying you can do it. It doesn’t matter how long you have to wait just wait. Good things as they said come to those who wait or as Confucius will put it “It does not matter how slowly you go, so long as you do not stop” Don’t ever stop believing in the good inside you for within every Man lies a Man that is good and capable of doing good things above the voice of people. Today I need you to know that we are not reduced to nothing because of what people say we are but we are reduced to nothing if we choose to believe them and act nothing.
