Nigeria's annual gathering of filmmakers comes up by Monday July 20th 2008

SHOOT as it is tagged is a capacity building and interactive forum for film makers and aspiring film makers in Nigeria.

What has become an annual ritual for one of Nigeria's fastest growing industry has for its theme this year—'Real Life, Real Sound'.

Shoot provides a platform for Nigerian motion picture professionals to gain world class expertise, exchange ideas, engage in lively discussion, discover and learn practical skills.


SHOOT over the last four years has covered areas like motion pictures, cinema skills and lighting techniques, high definition production and audio for film and video, production design, photography, special effects for film and television, documentary production and advanced cinema skills.

The resource persons for this year include
Barbel Mauch documentary film
Dominique Girals Sound design/dubbing
Alric Wilson music design for film
Penny Tweedie Still photography
Sylvie Bringas Animation
Stephen Bayly directing for screen
And lastly Cinematography.
The five days event comes to a climax on Friday 24th July 2009. Practitioners are therefore enjoined to utilize this opportunity provided by the National Film Institute.
