Multiple Blasts Hit Two Sokoto Police Stations

SAN FRANCISCO, July 30, (THEWILL) – Reports reaching THEWILL have confirmed multiple bomb blast have hit two police stations in separate parts of Sokoto, Monday morning.

Sources say the attacks were carried out by suicide bombers suspected to be members of the Islamic militant sect, Boko Haram.

The first attack was targeted at the office of the Assistant Inspector General of Police in the city at Marina killing a police officer and injuring several others including policemen on duty.

A second blast has also been reported to have hit Unguwar Rogo Police station in the metropolis.

However, casualty figures remain uncertain at the time of publishing this report.
