AUC CHAIRPERSON PING AND PRC CHAIRPERSON AMB. MONTCHO, TO LAUNCH PRC BOOKLET AT 16H30 PM TODAY, THURSDAY 12 JULY

ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia, July 12, 2012/African Press Organization (APO)/ -- INVITATION TO THE JOURNALISTS

Within the framework of the 19th AU Summit, the Directorate of Information and Communication (DIC) and OXFAM International Liaison Office to the AU will today Thursday 12 July 2012 at 16h30, launch the Permanent Representatives' Committee (PRC) Booklet, in the Small Conference Room 4 of the new AU Conference Center in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The launching ceremony will be co-presided by H.E Mr. Jean Ping, Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC) and H.E. Mr. Ferdinand Montcho, Chair of the PRC, and Ambassador of the Republic of Benin to the AU and Ethiopia, and Mr. Desire Assogbavi, Head of Oxfam Office.

The PRC Booklet, first of its kind is designed to enable the public audience and members of the African and International community familiarise themselves with the distinguished Ambassadors who make up the AU PRC. The booklet reviews the composition of the sub-committees of the PRC for 2011-2012 with detailed terms of reference for each subcommittee. It is jointly produced by the Directorate of Information and Communication and OXFAM liaison office in Ethiopia.

Journalists are invited to take part in the launch of the PRC Booklet in the in the Small Conference Room 4 of the new AU Conference Center at 16h30 pm.
