Africa and South Korea Senior Official Meeting, to Discuss Cooperation Ties

ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia, June 6, 2012/African Press Organization (APO)/ -- African and Korean senior officials will meet tomorrow, Thursday, 7th June 2012 in the New African Union Conference Center (AUCC) of the AU Headquarters, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to discuss ways to reinforce the multilateral cooperation in different areas of development including peace and Security; Africa's agriculture; infrastructure; science and technology; capacity building; information and communication among others.

The meeting is organized by the Partnerships Management and Coordination Division, Bureau of the Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC).

The meeting is will provide a platform for strengthening multilateral ties that the Korean Government has with African countries through the African Union.

Participants at the Africa-South Korea Senior official meeting will include representatives of the Permanent Representatives Committee (PRC) Sub-Committee on Multilateral Cooperation, the Korean delegation, AU Departments and other invited guests.

Attached is the draft Agenda of the Senior Officials Meeting of the South Korea-Africa on Cooperation.

Journalists are invited to cover the opening and closing of the Senior Officials Meeting at 09:00 and 18:00 on Tuesday, 7th June 2012.
