… Calls For Nationwide Prayers

By RiversACN Pressunit

The leader of the Action Congress of Nigeria ACN, in Rivers State and its Governorship candidate in the April 26, 2011 general elections, Dr. Abiye Sekibo has joined several other concerned Nigerians and world leaders to commiserate with the families of the victims of the ill-fated Dana Air Craft that crashed in Lagos on Sunday, June 3, 2012.

Dr Sekibo, Nigeria's former Transport Minister in a statement, expressed shock and unbelief at the colossal loss of lives including minors and children in the crash, describing it as painful and unfortunate.

Although natural disasters are inevitable Dr Sekibo said, the Dana Air crash is one too many, occurring when the country is battling to end further blood-letting by faceless elements across the nation.

While praying for the peaceful repose of the souls of the departed, Dr Sekibo enjoined the families of the victims to take solace in the fact that God is the owner of life and cannot be queried for allowing this kind of incident and may have greater need of their souls.

The former Transport Minister also called for national prayers for all the victims of the plane crash and Nigeria as a whole for God's mercies and protection.
