The League of Democratic Lawyers (LDL), a pro-democracy group, has faulted the arraignment of the former chairman of  House of Representatives Committee on Capital Market,

Rep. Herman Hembe and his ex-deputy, Rep. Ifeanyi Azubuogu by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over allegations that they demanded a bribe of N44 million from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Hembe was also accused by the Director General of SEC, Ms. Arunma Oteh, of converting N600,000 estacode to personal use.
