SAN FRANCISCO, May 23, (THEWILL) – The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the retirement of 13 Assistant Inspectors-General of Police (AIG) as part of a major restructuring of the force.


Those affected by the purge according to a posting on the force website include:

Recall that the Inspector General Of Police (IGP), Mr. M.D. Abubakar, had on May 17, 2012, approved the redeployment 136 senior police officers, made up mostly Assistant Police Commissioners (APC), as the federal government moves to rejig the police force.
