…UNILEVER MARKS OMO'S 50TH ANNIVERSARY

It's been celebration galore at Unilever Nigeria. The conglomerate recently hosted Nigerian and the international community to the 50th anniversary of his flagship brand. It's worth celebrating. The brand has spanned across generations of domestic households.

Legendary Artist, Onyeka Onwenu at the event testified to her innate affair with the first Nigeria's indigenous detergent brand.

'OMO is one of the most successful stories in the Nigerian market', she attested as she entertained the audience.

Speaking at the occasion, the Managing Director of Unilever Nigeria, Mr. Thabo Mabe traced the success of OMO to the unbridled support it has enjoyed from consumers over the years and promised that the company would not relent in its commitment to quality.

'Nigerian consumers built and sustained OMO as a market leader and I'm convinced that the relationship will continue to wax stronger as the company will not give up on its promise to always maintain the quality of the brand and give support when necessary to our trade partners,' he said.

He also disclosed at the occasion that the brand has been refreshed to better serve consumers and make life easy for mothers and other users.

Also speaking, the Marketing Director of the company, Mr. David Okeme said OMO's long term success in the market place was as a result of the strong relationship with the consumers based on Unilever deep understanding of the local cultures and markets.
