UGHELLI-ISOKO Patriotic Front, IPF, yesterday, passed a vote of confidence on the commissioner representing the Isoko ethnic nationality on the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Mr. Joseph Ogeh.

Speaking, when the group paid a courtesy visit on him, its President Mr. Henry Imoniero, thanked the state governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan for the choice of Ogeh for the DESOPADEC job.

He described Ogeh as 'a man of impeccable character, a leader of men and an achiever who will rather suffer personal loss of material wealth than allow Isoko to remain underdeveloped.'

He expressed the readiness of the group to support the government of Uduaghan at all times, adding that the group was made up of 35 foundation members, 'most of whom are former councilors in Isoko North Local Government Area.

He said: 'Our aim is to give support to all Isoko sons and daughters in government; appointed or elected, to achieve their objectives by educating the rural dwellers on how best to relate with their representatives.'

Responding, Ogeh thanked the group for the visit and expressed joy that such a body was put in place in Isokoland.
