Imoke Hosts Bishop Oyedepo

GENERAL OVERSEER, WINNERS CHAPEL, BISHOP DAVID OYEDEPO

CALABAR, May 07, (THEWILL) - Founder and general overseer of the Living Faith Church, also known as Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo recently paid a private visit to Cross River State.

The state governor, Senator Liyel Imoke and his wife, Obioma, played host to the visiting clergyman. He was taken round some places of interest, including the Tinapa Business Resort and Surefoot American International School (SAIS), Calabar.

Bishop Oyedepo, who is also chairman, Board of Governors of SAIS inspected the school’s science laboratory, science exhibition hall, school library, and kindergarten session, amongst others.

The informal visit to Calabar was to enable the bishop inspect a site for smooth take-off of the Covenant University Calabar campus, an affiliate of the Covenant University, Otta, Ogun State.

The proposed university, which will take-off soon, is expected to offer courses like Engineering, Computer Science, and other courses not currently offered by the University of Calabar and the Cross River State University of Technology (CRUTECH).

Those who were part of the visit were the commissioner for land and housing, Surveyor Raph Uche; commissioner for education, Prof Offiong E. Offiong; resident pastor, Winners Chapel Calabar and his wife; and Bishop Josef Bassey of God’s Heritage Church Calabar.

Bishop David Oyedepo has since departed Calabar.
