Huhuonline.com can confirm that Mr. Olaitan Oyerinde, Personal Secretary to Governor Adams Oshiomole has been assassinated. Just last week, Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State was almost killed in a fatal accident, which resulted in the death of three

journalists in his convoy.
The Chief of Staff to the Edo State Government, Osarodion Ogie, confirmed Mr. Olaitan Oyerinde assassination.

Huhuonline.com gathered that Oyerinde, who was also a Special Adviser to the Governor, was assassinate by four men who broke into his fenced compound in Ugbor GRA, Benin City.

The state's police command has also confirmed the killing.

Born in Ilorin, Kwara State, Olaitan attended the University of Lagos and holds B.A in Mass Communication.

He was a career trade unionist and was a member of the Iron and Steel Senior Staff Association of Nigeria.

He was also the Chairman of Lagos State branch of the Campaign for Democracy (CD). I n 2001, he joined the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and was the Deputy General Secretary before taking a leave of absence to work with Governor Oshiomhole.
