ONOVO SHOULD AVOID BANANA PEELS

Let us watch with keen interest whether IGP Onovo would be different from his predecessors. Let us for once see if the good-look of the man is exactly how he is; a complete gentleman and like one that would not associates with crooks in and outside power corridors.

Though Onovo was a member of Okiro's Police: Let him not hop-knob, like his predecessor did, with some corrupt sitting governors just because of what he can get from them; he should not pervert justice where he is the arbiter; let him accelerate on the unfinished jobs of his predecessor, without fear or favour; let him not wear two faces when doing his job; let him make people from his region proud especially being the first time Nigeria is appointing one from that region; let him not practice tribalism.

Though Onovo is a Policeman, he should try to shake off the bad image people have of the Police force by turning a new symbol even if such was not within him before now. He should demonstrate those qualities he was known for when he was at the NDLEA where he acquitted himself properly; he should be loyal to the President but not foolishly, advising him rightly on matters that are within his portfolio.
