BOKO HARAM: ISRAEL, FG STRATEGIZE ON SECURITY CHALLENGES

CALABAR - THE Federal Government and an Isreali organisation, weekend, held workshop at the Obudu Ranch Resort, Cross River State, on how to tackle security challenges posed by the Islamic sect, Boko Haram, and other militant groups in the country.

The workshop was jointly organised by the Federal Government through the Industrial Training Fund, ITF, and Galilee International Management Institute, Isreal.

Permanent Secretary, Office of the Head of Service of the Federation, Mr. Charles Bonet, at the event, said the service was worried over the current spate of insecurity in the country.

He said: 'We are worried that the security situation in the country is really sliding towards a precipice. This workshop is an indication that more people are becoming aware of our security challenges and are rising up to the occasion towards addressing them.'

Bonet, who represented the Head of Service, Alhaji Isa Sali, urged participants to put in more efforts to tackle the security challenges in Nigeria, stressing, 'It is a very serious matter that needs the support of every right thinking Nigerian.'
