According to a statement on Wednesday by his Senior Assistant on Media and Strategy, Mr. Jacob Edi, the reminder resulted from the killing of a community leader, Mallam Jaguda Muhammed, and his son by unknown gunmen on Tuesday morning in Okene.

Wada also appealed to all residents of the state, especially those in Okene, to remain calm, law-abiding and go about their normal duties.

The governor also said he had directed security operatives to apprehend the perpetrators of the killings.

Wada added that criminal acts in the Central Senatorial District or any part of the state would not be tolerated.

Meanwhile, an unnamed computer operator at the Federal Medical Centre, Lokoja has allegedly attempted to rape a lady who was attending to a patient on admission in the hospital.

The incident was said to have occurred on Tuesday night, on the premises of the hospital.

A hospital source, who pleaded anonymity, said the suspect allegedly tricked the lady from the ward late in the night to an uncompleted building within the hospital's premises.
