Angel’s guide book, ‘Fashioning your life, A Clothing Designer’s Guide’.

Written to provide assistance and advice to emerging fashion designers Samata Angel's book is the essential start-up guide book for talented fashion designers trying to succeed within the competitive fashion industry.

Volume 1 of the British-born Ghanaian designer's book focuses on introducing the fashion industry, useful industry organisations, crucial industry figures and other important topics. Volume 2 focuses on areas such as running a clothing label, marketing, manufacturing and more.

Who is supporting the project?

The designer, who counts Prime Minister Gordon Brown as a supporter, has gathered information from her personal experience and conversations with industry experts and other designers. The guide book features exclusive quotes from the likes of Nigel Barker (America's Next Top Model), Terry Mansfield CBE and Chairman of Graduate Fashion Week, Global Sales Director of DKNY and founder of SIE.com Simon Whitehouse, celebrity stylist Nick Ede (Project Catwalk), Fashion Business Club co-founder Courtney Blackman, Fashion Capital founder Jenny Holloway, Kerry Bannigan of Nolcha and others.

Industry action group Anti-Copying in Design (ACID) have also approved a section in the book advising designers about protecting clothing designs.
