DELTA, March 15, (THEWILL) - The Delta State legislature has resolved to use education as a tool for enhancing ongoing efforts of Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan to optimally develop the state, using its abundant human resources.

Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Engr.) Victor Ochei (FNSE) made the remark during the presentation of one hundred copies of the book, Africa: Conflict Resolution and Interventional Diplomacy, written by Ifeoha Azikiwe, to the Delta State University, Abraka.

Hon. Ochei, who was represented his Chief of Staff, Mr. Ephraim Osubor, observed that education, being the only enduring legacy, deserves support from all and sundry; and commended Uduaghan for his immense investments in the sector.

“I enjoin all well-meaning Deltans to partner with government in its efforts to build a stable educational base in the state because government alone cannot single-handedly bankroll the project in the face of other contending needs,” he said.

Vice Chancellor of the institution, Professor Eric Arubayi, expressed gratitude to the donor, adding that the gesture will enhance the institution’s thirst for greater achievements.
