SPORTS Minister/Chairman, National Sports Commission (NSC), Bolaji Abdullahi, NSC Director-General, Dr. Patrick Ekeji, as well as the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President, Aminu Maigari, were expected to leave for Zurich, Switzerland, last night for a meeting with FIFA officials.

The meeting with Blatter in Switzerland, according to NFF General Secretary, Musa Amadu, will hold this morning and the Nigerian officials will use it to intimate FIFA on the latest development in the country's football, NFF Acting General Secretary, Musa Amadu, disclosed yesterday.

Abdullahi, Ekeji and Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Anyim Pius Anyim, had on Tuesday brokered peace among the warring parties in Nigerian football. The meeting with FIFA is to formally inform the world body of the breakthrough in the Nigerian situation.

Amadu also disclosed that the NFF would announce the appointment of Tom Saintfiet as its technical director, as well as name the chief coaches of the Super Falcons and the national U-20 team.

The announcement, which would have taken place after the football federation's executive board meeting on Monday, was delayed because of the issues bordering on the eligibility of the current board to govern football in the country.
