FEMALE POLITICIAN GUNS FOR DICKSON'S FORMER JOB

YENAGOA-A female politician in Sagbama/Ekeremor Federal constituency of Bayelsa State, Mrs. Ebika Pela, has emerged a strong contender for the vacant House of Representatives seat, vacated by Mr Seriake Dickson, who is now the governor of the state.

Mrs. Pela, who is aspiring to the position on the platform of  Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is  daughter to the Director-General, Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organisation, Bayelsa State, Mr Fyneman Wilson.

Among notable groups and political bigwigs that had supported her for the position are Engr. Charles Dorgu, Mr Bekeakpo Etifa, Chief Alex Ekiotenne, Mr Ebiebe, and Major A. Oputa (rtd).

Pela, according to political observers, has demonstrated a strong interest in the affairs of the rural populace, especially women and youths.

Top on her agenda, it was gathered, is the provision of water boreholes to every community in Sagbama and Ekeremor Federal Constituency.

This, according to her, will allow the people access to potable water, which is vital to their existence.
