Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Zhai Jun Visits Morocco
BEIJING, China, March 2, 2012/African Press Organization (APO)/ -- From February 26 to 28, 2012, Vice Foreign Minister Zhai Jun visited Morocco. During the visit, Zhai met with Moroccan State Minister Abdellah Baha and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Saad-Eddine El Othmani and held talks with Youssef Amrani, Minister Delegate at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation. Chinese Ambassador to Morocco Xu Jinghu attended those activities.
Zhai said that China and Morocco enjoy a long history of friendship and the bilateral relations have maintained healthy and stable development since the establishment of diplomatic ties over half a century ago. The current regional and international situation is undergoing profound changes and China and Morocco will embrace more development opportunities. China is willing to strengthen political exchanges with Morocco, deepen and expand the mutually beneficial cooperation, step up coordination and collaboration in both regional and international affairs and promote the all-round in-depth development of China-Morocco relations to benefit the two peoples.
During the meetings, the Moroccan side introduced the current Moroccan situation, thanked the Chinese side for its support for Morocco's political reform and stressed its established policy of developing relations with China. It is willing to make concerted efforts with China to reinforce exchanges at all levels and broaden bilateral cooperation in all fields comprehensively.
The two sides also exchanged opinions on the regional and international issues of common concern.
