Pastor Kiforo's shooting: Kaduna govt spokesman got the facts wrong

We strongly object to the untruths provided by Mr. Ruben Buhari, the spokesperson of Governor Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa of Kaduna State. Despite having adequate facts as to the circumstances that led the security agents to shoot Pastor Isuwa Kiforo, Director,

Finance and Administration, Ministry of Information, Kaduna, he told the news agency Reuters that the man was a suicide bomber who tried to ram a car packed with explosives through the gates of the government house, but that he was shot in the leg while trying to flee. One wonders why the spokesperson would brazenly, blatantly and manifestly put out such incorrect information against the established facts that were widely reported by numerous media organizations, both print and electronic. This is a serious matter that should not be swept under the carpet. The governor should institute a panel to investigate the issue that has seriously embarrassed the state government.
