AWKA- WORRIED by poor performance of CCC Construction Company, the company handling many projects for Anambra State, Governor Peter Obi Wednesday brought the expatriate managing director of the company to the state to decide on how to ameliorate the situation.

Mr. Bassem Dib, the Managing Director of the CCC, was taken round the poorly executed projects by Obi and top officials of his administration during which he saw what the state government had been complaining about. According to Obi, the state is facing enormous challenges with many projects being handled by CCC.

He added that reason for inviting the company's managing director to Anambra State was for both parties to sit down and find solution to it because the state government would not accept the shoddy jobs.

Of the many projects handled by the company, five were in very bad shape, including the Awkuzu -Igbariam road, Oba -Nnewi road, Bridge Head axis, Afor Igwe -Umudioka road and Oyeagu -Abagana road.

He explained that the construction firm handling the project would reconstruct the failed portions at no cost to government, while the drainage system would be funded by the state government.

Responding, Bassem Dib assured that his company would follow the state government's directives and complete the projects according to specifications. He  commended the state government for encouraging and empowering the company.
