OBASI: PLAYING WITH RAUL IS THRILLING

Eagles attacker, Chinedu Ogbuke Obasi has revealed that playing with top football stars like Raul and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar at Schalke 04 will benefit his career.

Obasi was in the Schalke squad that toured Qatar during the winter break. And as the German Bundesliga resumes this weekend with Schalke taking on VFB Stuttgard at home, Obasi disclosed that the prospect of playing with legend Raul was a motivation for him to improve on his game.

'For me is more like a dream come true. I am a young player, who still learns, and these experienced players will make it very much easier for me,' Obasi said.

Obasi who is on loan till the end of the season from Hoffeinheim stated that it was not his wish to return to the club and he is hoping to make an impact so that Schalke would not have problems coming up with the five million Euros need for his final switch to Schalke. Obasi said: ' I'll give everything, so that I can remain Schalke,'

He stated that Schalke have a chance of playing in the Champions League and he would be very much pleased if he was with the team.

Obasi joined Hoffenheim, then of the second division, from Norwegian first division outfit Lyn Oslo in the summer of 2007. In his first season he secured promotion to the top flight with his new club, for whom he made a total of 65 Bundesliga and 27 second division appearances, scoring 13 and 12 goals respectively.
