UCHE KICKS AGAINST VILLARREAL RETURN

By NBF News

Eagles' striker, Ikechukwu Uche has declared his intention to remain with Granada rather than return to Villarreal, that had loaned him out.

This is just as Granada and Villarreal are locked in negotiations about a possible return of the player in the January window.

Granada president Quique Pina disclosed Uche is likely to stay till June 30 when his loan contract expires. 'Uche is a player of Granada till June 30 and he is going to fulfill his commitment because he wants to stay,' Pina said.

Uche has made impressive runs for Granada in their last game against Real Madrid he assisted the goal scored by Granada in their 5-1 thrashing.

Villarreal manager, Jose Molina however, insisted that he wants Uche back as he was vital to his effort to rebuild his team that has been depleted by injury and imminent exit of top players like Marcos Senna, Cesar Sanchez and Angel Lopez all in their last six months of their contracts.

Villarreal announced a loss of 16 million euros and budget cuts of around 24 million for 2012. Molina may not have the funds to rebuild his squad and more likely will have to do with the players he has already available.
