The much anticipated three-day intensive make-up class, organised by Bola Akinboade of Chanterelle Concepts in conjunction with Sola Gabriel of MBF Academy, could be described as a great success.

The event, which took place recently at the Ashton and Layton, Opebi, Ikeja, was interactive and interesting.

Participants from all spheres of life graced the occasion. They included business executives, bankers, fashion designers, event planners and undergraduate. They are all with a common goal- they have the flare for make-up.

The organizers ensured that all the topics were treated with a practical class to go with each illustration. Some of the looks created were bridal, smokey eye, flawless natural, avant garde, evening look and high fashion

The three guest speakers from Rhema, who represented Tara Durotoye, Modela and Bayo Hastrup, wowed the participants with their expertise.

Rhema from the House of Tara took the students through step-by- step guide in achieving a flawless bridal makeover. Modela took them through on flawless natural, high fashion and avant garde, while Bayo Hastrup rounded off the teaching with steps in achieving a glamorous evening look.

Apart from make-up, students were also taught the art of tying igele. This segment was handled by Tayo Gidado of Morewa Makeover.

It was a worth while experience for the participants as they left with new ideas to sharpen their make-up skills.
