The choice of Fela and Gani is apt in the history of this nation, these individuals are being celebrated globally, so, what are we waiting for? Their lives remain inspiration for millions of people and we want to replicate into existence what they believe and stood for while alive” he submits.
The play on showcase “Peace of the Grave Yard” is written by Tompson Tabi, directed by Paul Uwagbai. It is a historical excursion of the nation state called Nigeria. The play employs satire and comedy to chronicle our journey from 1960 till date. We shall no doubt laugh at our follies and at ourselves as a race but the underlining messages are passed subtly to those who will be wise enough to catch the drift as the play progresses. It is indeed, a thought-provoking plot, with a thematic thrust of Hope and Unity.
The political satire will be interpreted by the Black Image crew while invited celebrities will include General Dan Baba, Papa Sam, Nkan Eledua and one of the Nigerian foremost leading actress, Iyabo Ojo.
