Breaking News: Bomb Blast In Delta, Six Injured

Another bomb explosion has rocked the ancient city of Sapele in Delta state. The explosion is the second since the last incident which affected a mosque in the area.

Huhuonline.com findings revealed that the bomb was allegedly thrown into an Islamic school, located on the Hausa Quarters by Urhobo road in Sapele.

Six pupils attending Arabic classes were reportedly affected by the blast which ripped parts of the classrooms in the Islamic school in parts, injuring the six pupils.

A source told Huhuonline.com that 'the incident happened at about 9:30 pm. Some persons on a motor bike threw an object into the school and zoomed off and immediately there was a deafening noise which sent residents into panic.'

Another source says that the affected children may have been among those who live within the Islamic school compound.

The Delta state police command has confirmed the incident. The Delta state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Chales Muka said that 'report reaching my office is that a low capacity bomb was thrown into a classroom by unknown persons on a motorbike. Six children were injured and are receiving treatment in a nearby hospital.'

Muka added that the police have commenced full scale investigation into the incident.
