Gov. Fayemi Move to Seal Rift in Ekiti Exco… Reshuffles Cabinet

Less than 24 hours after huhuonline.com story on the rift vis-à-vis corruption in Ekiti state cabinet, Governor Kayode Fayemi has reshuffled his cabinet. While announcing the new commissioners and special advisers, the governor cautioned members of his cabinet against corruption, and vowed not to shield anyone found to be involved in corrupt practices.

Hear him:
"It has become imperative for us to inject fresh blood into the cabinet to accelerate development. You have been saddled with the responsibility of developing the state with your new offices.

"Let me state again our zero tolerance for corruption. Eschew corruption and flee from it wherever it appears like a bait. This government will not shield anybody found to be involved in corruption."

In all, eight new appointees were inaugurated, Friday, at a ceremony held at the Government House.

Chief Biodun Akin-Fasae, past Caretaker Committee Chairman of Ikole Local Government Area,   was appointed Special Adviser in the Governor's Office.

Dr. Wole Olugboji, commissioner for Health, was moved to Ministry of Special Duties. While Prof. Olusola Fasuba, now heads the Ministry of Health

Mrs. Bunmi Dipo-Salami, former Special Adviser on Millennium Development Goals, was reassigned to the Ministry of Integration and Inter-governmental Affairs.

Former Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Wole Adewumi, iwas moved to the Ministry of Labour, Productivity and Human Capital Development, while Mr. Paul Omotoso, who was the commissioner in the Special Duties Ministry, now heads   the Ministry of Housing and Environment.

Former commissioners for Human Capital Development, Mrs. Bunmi Adelugba and Physical and Urban Development, Mr. Kayode Olaosebikan are now Special Advisers in charge of Revenue Matters and Taxation and Political and Inter-party Relations respectively.
