A threat letter allegedly sent by the dreaded Boko Haram sect, of its plans to bomb Gowon barracks in Abuja during the yuletide may have made residents of the barracks to begin to consider relocation for safety.

Residents of the barracks located on the Asokoro-Kubwa express way in Abuja also known as Mambilla barracks, revealed to Huhuonline.com / that they are now living in fear as a result of the threat letter.

Meanwhile, a dusk to dawn curfew has been imposed on the barracks, as movement in and out of the barracks is restricted between 6pm and 6am while the gates to the barracks is now locked at 6pm to all human and vehicular traffic.

Senior military officers at the barracks, according to dependable sources have braced up in case the unwanted happens. 'There is a lot of apprehension here which is prompting the senior officers of the barracks to hold series of meeting.'

Deputy Director of Army Public Relations, Colonel Abdul said that precautionary meeting have been held by the senior officers on security consciousness and due to the present security challenges being faced by the country.
