MAIN FEATURES OF OUR CONTAFRIKACUISINE FOR US TO KNOW

CHARACTERISTICS OF OUR CONTAFRIKACUISINE FOR ALL CONT/DIASPORA AFRIKANS TO KNOW AS OUR FREEDOM FROM COOKING AND EATING FOREIGN INSTEAD OF AFRIKAN, By COPYRIGHT (2011) Prof Afrikadzata Deku, Docteur d'Etat, PhD; *Doctorat d'Etat (Ph.D.) * D.E.S.S. THE MAIN CHARECTERISTICS or FEATURES of Continental AfrikaCusine can be summarized as follows:

First, we need to know that what makes Continental AfrikaCusine Continental Afrikan and not Chinese or French etc is not the food, but the Way the food is prepared, cooked and eaten that makes it Continental Afrikan, French, Japanese, Chinese etc.

Hence, the main difference between Continental AfrikaCusine and Western ways of cooking and eating for example, lies in the fact that Continental Afrikans mix various food ingredients and cook them together in the pot until all the items blend nicely into each other to become One with one Taste.

The extraordinary NATURAL INNATE Ability of our Grand-mothers, Mothers, Wives, Sisters and Daughters to use their imagination, creativity and ingenuity to know the exact weight and quantity of each and all the food items to be cooked without weighing them, marvels and beats the imagination of Foreigners who have to weigh every food item they cook.

Through experience, training and the constant use of their inner Mental Faculty, Continental Afrikans know for example, how much salt should be poured into the stew or soup without too much or too little of it or the exact quantity of sugar they must put in a tea or in drink , something Foreign cooks cannot do.

They have to weigh even the salt and sugar before using them. This makes Continental Afrikan Way of cooking and eating very creative and artistic in its ability to blend together different food items into harmonious, tasty and palatable meals for the enjoyment of all.

Western ways of cooking, on the other hand, cook the food items separately rather than together. In Continental Afrikan Cuisine, Females rather than males do the cooking.

In Western Cuisine, the food is mostly cooked by the males because cooking is considered “slave work” from which most Foreign women run.

In Continental AfrikaCuisine, cooking is an act and expression of love, care, concern and delicacy through which most if not all our Continental Afrikaladies show and express their affection to their families.

Cooking Continental Afrikan in this way becomes a unifying factor in the harmonization of all Members of the Continental AfrikaFamily.

Since it is said that Food is power, our ladies who hold the key to the happiness of the Continental AfrikaStomach Wield a lot of power over their Males who must reciprocate to them in some other ways or trouble.

This means, the tastier the Continental AfrikaMeal is, the deeper the love of the Meal Creator is AND THE DEEPER THE APPRECIATION SHE GETS IN RETURN FROM ALL.

Another major difference between Western and Continental AfrikaCuisines lies in the fact that Continental Afrikan Meals mostly come in two forms, the solid part of the meal we consider the Male blending with the Female part of the Meal which is in liquid form, soft and sweet.

Hence, Rice, Yam, Beans, Fufu, Akple, Kenkey, Yakayake, Abolo, Plantain, Cocoyam, Cassava, Tuwo, etc are examples of the Solid component of Continental AfrikaCuisine.

Stew and Soup of all kinds like meat, fish, vegetable, palm oil, groundnut, okro etc Stew or Soup are used to balance the Solid side of the Meal.

In this way, it becomes easier for the Stomach to receive and digest what is thoughtfully given to her.

Western Cuisine, on the contrary, comes mostly separately and in solid forms like a lot of bread, sandwich, hamburger, pizza, fish and meat cooked separately with little or no soup or stew to eat their solid meals with.

All because, time is always against them, they do not have the time the Continental Afrikans have in cooking for hours different food items for which they wait for them to cook and blend well into each other before the meal is pronounced ready to eat.

Besides, to Westerners, it is faster to eat a hamburger while driving to the next meeting than sitting down for hours to eat with soup or stew and drinking stew or soup that takes time which most of them do not have.

That is why they prefer to use cutlery in eating because it saves time they are constantly in short supply of rather than eating with their fingers that take more time to learn, master and use professionally to avoid making a mess of the dress they have for the next meeting.

This means, Westerners do not use their fingers to eat as Continental Afrikans do, not because it is “backward”, “nasty” or “inferior” to eating with cutlery as we are often made to believe in Afrika.

Westerners will have loved the freedom and the power to eat with their fingers like Continental Afrikans as they did in the past if they too had the time like Continental Afrikans.

That is why, to the conscious Continental Afrikan, eating with cutlery makes eating mechanical and artificial or impersonal.

That is why Westerners talk while they eat and also because they do not have time to talk outside their meals time.

Continental Afrikans, on the other hand, do not talk when they eat.

Because it shows disrespect for the food one is paying tribute to and honoring in silence and reverence.

And also because eating and talking at the same time can send the food to the wrong place and that can be dangerous to one's Health.

Again, most if not all Continental AfrikaFood items like Food, Meat, Fish, Vegetables and Fruits are grown naturally without fertilizers that often poison the food and the body when eaten.

This makes Continental Afrikan food different from Western food items which are mostly grown with a lot of chemicals they call fertilizers.

This makes Western grown food to become mostly sickness-giver rather than health-giver.

Besides, most if not all Continental AfrikaFood items are cooked fresh from the garden, farm, river, forest or sea, which makes them more nutritious for the body when eaten.

Most Western food items, on the other hand, come frozen for days, months and years which make them less and less nutritive and less healthy for the body when eaten.

This explains why Westerners fall sick or die of food-related causes more than Continental Afrikans.

This means some of our today's Afrikans who still think and believe that cuisine is Cuisine for them only if it is French, British, or Chinese Cuisine simply do so out of ignorance and do not know what they are missing for refusing to eat Continental Afrikan.

BENEFITS for cooking and eating Continental Afrikan include the enjoyment of excellent health from eating naturally grown, fresh and healthy Continental Afrikan food items that are well boiled to prevent germs in the food from turning our food into poison or sickness.

Cooking and eating Continental Afrikan also means the promotion of our Continental AfrikaIdentity, Culture and Values that can only bring us a lot of positive Self-image, Self-pride, and High self-esteem, for knowing it is our right, duty and responsibility to use our imagination and intelligence in making our Continental AfrikaCusine the best in the world.

HAVOC for the Continental Afrikan who prefers eating Foreign rather than Continental Afrikan include:

1.The danger of eating mostly solid and dry food with less and less water, soup or stew that result into chronic constipation, stomach upset, uneasiness or cancer,

2. Danger of eating contaminated or poisonous food grown with too much chemicals that can result into stomach cancer, or ulcer,

3. Danger of eating frozen food, meat, fish, fruits or vegetables that are sometimes too old and devoid of their freshness, naturalness, vitamin, and nutritional values which can also weaken the body and make it more vulnerable to all kinds of diseases.

This means Continental AfrikaFood is fresh.
Continental AfrikaFood is Life.
Continental AfrikaFood is Sacred.
Continental AfrikaFood is Natural.

To grow our own Food the Continental AfrikaWay, cook Continental Afrikan and eat Continental Afrikan is the key to Continental Afrika's Total Health, Security and Happiness in dignity.
