True to speculations, another aide of embattled Governor Timipre Sylva of Bayelsa state has thrown in the trowel, Huhuonline.com / can report. Chief Stephen Diver, Special Adviser to the Bayelsa governor on Inter Party Matters resigned in less than a week

 after the state commissioner for Youth, Conflict Resolution and Employment Generation, Etifa Bekeakpo dumped Sylva in his many troubles.

In his letter of resignation dated 30 th November, 2011 and addressed to the Executive Governor, through the Secretary to the State Governor (SSG), Chief Steven Diver stated that 'I hereby write to inform you that I have resigned my appointment as Special Adviser to you on Inter-Party Matters with effect from today, 30 th November, 2011. This is to enable me fully take charge of my personal businesses and also have enough time to run the affairs of my immediate family.'

The letter of resignation, which was personally signed by Chief Steven Diver and confidentially made available to Huhuonline.com, further stated that 'I wish to thank Your Excellency for affording me the opportunity to serve the government and people of Bayelsa state in that capacity and May God bless you.'
