AGBOR-Stakeholders in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, have appealed to immediate past Chairman of the state wing of the Nigeria Union of Teachers NUT, Mr. Jonathan Ojobu, to contest the chairmanship position of Ika South in the local council election in the state.

The group, under the umbrella of Ihu-Ozomor, whose membership cuts across political party lines in the area, made the appeal when it paid Ojobu a solidarity visit at his country home in Alisimie-Agbor.

A spokesman for the forum, Mr. Joseph Abanye, said: 'With your humility, administrative prowess and impeccable career in the teaching profession as well as your vast wealth of experience in public life, we are convinced beyond doubt that you have all it takes to fill the political leadership vacuum in the council.'

He urged Ojobu to accept their appeal, adding that members of the forum were committed in giving him their unalloyed support that would ensure his victory at the polls.
