Insight will not enter for 2011 LAIF awards - Mgt
Insight Communications management has said that it will not be making entries in this year Lagos Advertising and Ideas Festival, LAIF, Creative Awards.

The company said the decision was made as part of its current moves at repositioning its activities for greater market leadership after 30 years of operations in the advertising industry.

According to Lorenz Mba, Client Services Director, Insight Communications, the decision to decline making entries for the LAIF 2011 awards is well thought-out one considering the resolve of advertising firm to play an even greater role in the sector in the future.

Insight Communications is 30 years old this year and we have over the years established ourselves as a leader in the advertising industry within Nigerian and the West African region. We have decided that rather than just continue to run our activities as we have done over the years, we should take this year to reassess our performance and reposition for greater effectiveness in the future. This informs our decision to skip entries for this years LAIF awards,'he said.

Mba added that the firm would however attend the creative awards and support the event as it had always done.

Our support for the growth of the advertising industry is unwavering and we are going to attend this yearfs LAIF awards ceremony and have already secured a special table for our firm at the awards,h he stated.

It will be recalled that Insight Communications emerged one of the top three winners at the 2010 LAIF Creative Awards where it scooped many prizes for its innovative works.
