ASSEMBLY POLL: COURT ORDERS RERUN IN ANAMBRA

AWKA-THE National and State Assemblies Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Awka Tuesday declared as invalid the election of the member representing Anaocha/Njikoka/Dunukofia federal constituency, Mrs. Uche Ekwunife, ordering for a rerun in four Wards in the constituency to determine the actual winner of the poll.

Mr. Ferdinand Dozie Nwankwo, who contested the April, 2011 election on the platform of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, had challenged the declaration of Ekwunife of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, by INEC.
