SSS Parades Six Suspected Kidnappers

Huhuonline.com can affirm that the Niger state command of the State Security Service (SSS) has arrested six suspects for allegedly kidnapping of a businesswoman, Mrs. Chinwe Ofomah in Suleja, Suleja Local Government Area of the state on the 14 of July.

  Sources say that Mrs. Chinwe Ofomah's husband, James had parted with a whooping N3.2 million to the alleged kidnappers after an earlier demand of N200 million before his wife was released from her 10 days solitary confinement.

 
Niger state director of SSS, Dr. Larry Obiagwu said in Minna that, 'those arrested included four kingpins of the syndicate and two financiers of each of the operations carried out. Their names were given as Kingsley Akpan, popularly known as Sunny, Adejo Achama, Adams Awodi, Charles Okweri, Ogbodo Tochukwu, and Jude Ogbochucku'.

 
According to him, 'the husband of the victim paid the sum of N2.2 million as first instalment on the 24 of July and N1 million on the 27th of July, following an initial demand of N200 million ransoms by the suspects.

 
'The suspects have all admitted their involvement in the crime of conspiracy and kidnapping of the woman and would be arraigned in court, while search is on for two other members at large. A Volkswagen Golf (3), with registration number Kogi AQ167LKJ used for their operations was found in their possession'.
