LAGOS- The Lagos District Superintendent, Assemblies of God, Nigeria, Rev. Joseph Okafor, has cautioned parties involved in the ongoing legal battle between the suspended President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Isa-Ayo Salami and the immediate past Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Aloysius Katsina-Alu. He said the matter should be resolved in line with the law of the land.

Addressing newsmen in Lagos, as part of activities to flag-off the church's annual spiritual activity, tagged 'Bethel 2011 Conference,' Okafor expressed concern over the lingering crisis between the two senior Justices and the manner in which it was being handled by those in authority.

He wondered what would be the implication of the crisis on ordinary Nigerians and the judiciary system in the country.

Okafor said the nation was so engrossed in plethora of socio-economic challenges that needed urgent attention, and called on those in leadership position to rise up to their responsibilities by ensuring the provision of jobs and security of lives and property.
