Akure-THE crisis in the Ondo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has been resolved following the intervention of a member of the Board of Trustees and a former Senator, Dr Bode Olajumoke.

Dr. Olajumoke who initiated the peace moves, confirmed the resolution to Vanguard in Akure.

As part of the resolution, it was agreed by the factions after meeting for about a month that the embattled state chairman Dr Tayo Dairo and members of his executive resign while the Interim Management Committee, IMC, led by Prof. Olu Agbi be dissolved.

The parties also agreed to withdraw all court cases.

Speaking with Vanguard, the leader of one of the faction, and Nigerian Ambassador to Australia, Professor Olu Agbi, said the crisis has been finally resolved.

He said: 'The PDP in Ondo State is moving forward to arrive at an equitable resolution of our crisis.

'We met with the Executive council of the party and the National Assembly caucus of the party and we took some vital decisions that will affect the structure of the party in the state and will prepare the party for the next gubernatorial election. '

Dr Dairo in his reaction said 'Although we had a meeting where we move to resolve our differences, we want to manage to preserve the PDP from disintegrating. We are going to follow the party's constitution and also abide by it.'
