A GROUP, Save the Masses and Children's Heart Foundation, weekend, lamented the poor state of roads in the South-West, describing them as the worst in the country.

Its leader, Mr. Akin Joye, in Akure, Ondo State, attributed the development to the lack of unity among the Yoruba.

He said: 'The lack of unity among the Yoruba, at the moment, is the cause of the poor infrastructure in the South-West and we don't have a united voice to address the issues.

'I led members of the group to the palace of the Ooni and we told him in the presence of other Yoruba monarchs that lack of an acceptable leader was not good for the region.

We recently lost our chance to produce the Speaker of the House of Representatives because we did not have a credible leader that would ensure that we spoke with a united voice during the agitation'
