KICKBOXING FEDERATION BEGS FOR MONEY

The Secretary of the Kickboxing Federation of Nigeria, Olabisi Odubote, on Wednesday blamed a lack of funds for the inability of the body to execute its programmes.

Odubote told the News Agency of Nigeria that most of the federation's programmes were dependent on funds which were not available.

'We have so many events lined up for our athletes but due to inadequate funds the federation is finding it difficult to engage the athletes.

'This has its dire consequences as it makes the athletes less busy and lazy.'

She appealed to corporate bodies to sponsor some of the programmes to keep the athletes busy.
