BRIDAL SHOW @ LEKKI WEDDING FAIR

By NBF News

The planned 2010 wedding fair will take place in a grand style as there will be a mini fashion show showcasing the latest designs in wedding dresses, suits, traditional wear and accessories.

The Lekki Wedding Fair is an outdoor wedding exhibition established to create an avenue for business owners in the wedding/events industry to exhibit their goods and services to an array of intending couples and their families as well as network with other stakeholders in the industry. The Lekki Wedding Fair provides a no-holds- barred interactive opportunity for event vendors to meet prospective clients one on one. It is a fantastic opportunity to get brand visibility, make valuable contacts as well as sell goods and services. It is scheduled to hold on June 12, 2011 at the Leaf Gardens, strategically located on a corner piece Wole Olateju Crescent and Admiralty road in Lekki Phase 1.

In addition, the organizers are not choosing a multitude of vendors at the expense of the quality of the ones selected to exhibit their products.

The organising committee is made up of three enterprising young women in their mid 20s, Simisola Ojumu, Oyinkansola Ogundipe and Omotoke Oyegoke.

'We noticed a gab in the 'market' for real fairs where people meet a diverse selection of wedding vendors, not just the usual names we hear of. Also, we have many friends and colleagues planning their big days who are in need of direction to their dream service provider. The Lekki Wedding Fair promises to link them up with an array of vendors to suit every need and budget.'

The members of the organizing committee have attended and participated in many fairs and exhibitions.

'Our experience comes chiefly from the experiences we've had at other fairs.'

Also, as business owners, the organizing committee know just the right ingredients to put together to make our customers happy.

The target exhibitors are reputable business owners in the wedding industry ranging from caterers, to decorators and MCs. The target audiences are intending couples, their families, other industry service providers and wedding enthusiasts.

Oyinkansola Ogundipe is CEO of Drops of Honey, an upscale souvenir and wedding favour company. She holds a B.A (Hons) degree in English from University of Lagos. She attended Atlantic Hall Secondary School, Lagos and is an intending bride and wedding enthusiast.

Omotoke Oyegoke holds a B.Sc (Hons) in Business from University of Lagos, Akoka. She also attended Atlantic Hall, Lagos. She is the Chief Executive Officer of House Of Divas, an upmarket fashion house.

She has about four years of experience in the areas of financial advisory and capital markets. She is also passionate about Event Management and Planning and has attended different courses to complement her practical experience.
