EDO SOUTH LEADERS DEMAND HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY SPEAKERSHIP

Edo South Senatorial District, weekend, demanded for the position of the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, in view of the performance of the ruling Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, in the area, which returned all its candidates in the April 26, elections.

The leaders said, 'this is payback time for those of us who worked hard during the elections to return our senatorial candidate in the person of Mr. Ehigie Uzamere. We also returned our three House of Representatives candidates and ten other candidates for the state House of Assembly.'

A statement by the leaders of Bini Renaissance Group, said, 'we have by this singular feat demonstrated our support for the Adams Oshiomhole  administration, his developmental strides and need to continue to deepen those core values our society has since yearned for.

So, we demand that the minimum we can get for our loyalty to the party and for working hard to sustain the values of good governance is to compensate us with the speakership position.'
