Ibori extradited to the UK from Dubai

 
Ex Delta State Governor, James Ibori , was on Friday extradited to the United Kingdom to face money laundering charges.

He arrived Heathrow airport earlier today sandwiched by officers from the British Scotland Yard.

Pointblanknews.com sources hinted that the swift move by the United Arab Emirates (UAE), authorities was occasioned by moves by some influential Nigerians to spirit him out of Dubai.

Ibori was moved from prison to the hospital when he claimed his health was in bad shape. He later relocated to his personal home where these influential Nigerians visit him regularly.

An appellate court had ordered his removal from Dubai but he stalled the order with an appeal and complaint of high blood pressure.

His wife, sister and mistress are all in British prisons for money laundering.
